Hisham Ismail is a seasoned IT/Telecommunications professional with more than 25 years of experience in the Telecom and mission-critical sectors. Throughout his career, Hisham has successfully commissioned several Operations Support System (OSS), Business Support System (BSS), and Value Added Services (VAS) products for telecommunication companies across the globe. He is also proficient in various business management aspects such as Fund Raising, Business Strategy and Planning, Business Turnaround Strategy, and Financial Planning.
Hisham's career began by designing home-grown pager equipment, encompassing electronics design to firmware development, before moving on to Multi-Application Smart Card development for a Canadian company with offices in Malaysia and Indonesia. Subsequently, he contributed to the Billing and Mediation System project for Celcom Malaysia and the Mediation and Provisioning System for Satelindo in Indonesia. Later, he designed the VAS system, Partner Management System, and Booking System and Payment Network integrations with AirAsia for Maxis Mobile in Malaysia.
Afterward, Hisham embarked on a Service Delivery Platform, Product Management, and Global Integration Platform for Vodafone Global, covering the Operating Companies in Netherland, United Kingdom, Ireland, and Spain. He also provided various VAS systems and contents for companies like Du in UAE, Orange in Jordan, Saudi Telecom in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Viva in Kuwait, Zain in Bahrain, Kuwait, and Jordan.
Later, Hisham ventured into the e-Learning segment and executed Open University Malaysia's e-Learning project in Saudi Arabia, establishing a nationwide e-learning platform. He also designed, built, and commissioned data centers in Riyadh and Jeddah, television broadcasting network for Saudi Arabia Learning TV channels.
Subsequently, Hisham worked for Scan Associates Berhad in the Broadband over Power Line project, delivering broadband experience to homes through electrical power lines as the last-mile network. This project also involved setting up the OSS and BSS components to become a full-fledged Internet Service Provider.
Hisham's expertise in Blockchain system development is notable, particularly in tokenizing ultra-capacitor manufacturing and distribution through Blockchain. He continued to develop Blockchain systems for a Healthcare company, tokenizing their emergency response products on Blockchain, with a Blockchain ERP backend system for non-repudiation and transparent logistics to clients.
Hisham then moved into system development, delivering Enterprise systems, Blockchain systems, and payment aggregation systems to various companies in Malaysia before being appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of AGUM Technology.
Hisham obtained a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Purdue University, Indiana, USA.
